The Great Blogger Weekend - Part 1

A Nesting Experience is a blog about nesting, moving in together for the first time, and making a new place home sweet home. I've tried over the last year and a half to only post things that both Alex and I have tried together. Whether it is recipes, crafts, or restaurant reviews, the blog is really about both of us, and our nesting experience.

This weekend, I had the chance to hang with some other bloggers from the Boston area at two really fun events, Fall Wine Fest 2010 and November Boston Bloggers Brunch. I spent most of the weekend with Emily of A Cambridge Story, which was, of course, super awesome! Even though Alex was not at either event, they do have to do with the blog, so here's a little photographic recap of Part 1 of the weekend, Fall Wine Fest 2010.

Fall Wine Fest 2010 was environmentally friendly!

Emily, of A Cambridge Story, taking some notes on the Magners Pear Cider

About to try some locally brewed Blue Hills Dunkelweizen Winter Wheat. So tasty!

Yep! I was totally all about the Greek wines. No Nychteri though.

My favorite of the Greek wines. Nemea Reserve, a semi-dry red wine.

Next in line to meet Cathy from Red White Boston

Meat and cheese pies from KO Catering and Pies

Sharing a snack!

  1. Yay! What a great weekend... we were definitely 'glowing' :)

  2. Hi Erin! Too bad we didn't get to talk much yesterday at brunch, but it was still nice to meet you! I hope to see you again at other food events soon!

  3. Hi Bianca, it was so great to meet you too! I love your blog. I wish we had gotten to talk more. I was in such a brunch and post Wine Fest coma. Hopefully there will be another fun food event soon!

  4. Fall wine fest was so fun! Too bad I didn't run into you ladies.

p.s. Australian meat pies are the best. thing. ever.

  5. Hi Erin! I found your blog off of the Adopt a Blogger website. I'm a newbie, too! This is just a thought, but I was thinking that until we were adopted by a veteran that perhaps we could promote each other like a veteran would. We would put a link to each others blog on our blog, visit each other regularly and comment on our posts, and do one blog post about each other. Just a suggestion, thought I'd throw it out there. Let me know if you're interested!

  6. The wine fest looks awesome!! I'm recently starting to acquire a taste for wine. The first wine I tried (and liked) was a Polka Dot Riesling.
I'm from the Boston area too, by the way! I found you on Twitter :) I try to get to as many blogger events as I can.

  7. Just Add Cheese, too bad we didn't meet up! Did you try one of the pies. Ohmygoodness they were amazing.

Ashley, yay! Yes, totally! Email me at Let's chat.

Kinsey, your blog is awesome! I'm a huge fan of Polka Dot Riesling, good pick. It would be great to meet you at a blogger event. These were my first two, but definitely not my last so hopefully we'll meet up some time!

Athena, those pies were delish! I guess KO Catering and Pies is doing the next blogger brunch. So fun! Awesome to meet you this weekend!
