Sadie, Sadie, married lady

So as you may know, about a month ago, Alex and I got married! Our wedding was the biggest DYI project of our lives. It was a lot of work, but I really do think it turned out beautiful. Here are some of the details that I'm most proud of and most in love with.

For the invitations, we wanted to go apple green, chocolate brown, and for them to have a city theme. They were inspired by some gorgeous wedding invites I spotted on Frenchie and Flea and designed by me. The heart pattern was borrowed from DragonArt and modified to fit our color scheme.

We love Boston, but we also love lots of other cities. So, we decided to follow the city theme with our guest book. We went to Zazzle and bought post cards from every city we visited, bought a mini suit case at Paper Source, and made a sign asking friends to share their wishes with us. When the wedding was over, my mom picked up the postcards and will be sending them to us over the year!

The first thing that Alex and I like to do when we travel, is find a good bar. We named each of our tables, after our favorite bars from London to Seattle. Our place cards were decorated with a photo of the bar and each table had a framed table name with a description of our visit.

We added a few extra special touches for the head table. I made two pretty chair wraps for our chairs (Thanks to Martha!) Everyone got a "charger plate" menu, but the head table had name cards to make seating easier. Lastly, my nephew, Cameron also got a special surprise place setting with a few treats to keep him busy.

Instead of a big wedding cake, we opted for four different flavors of cupcakes. To keep guests from having to guess, I made toppers to help them choose a flavor

Lastly, we knew we wanted everyone to dance, so we both wore fabulous shoes and made our favors wedding colored flip flops.

We also love the pictures. Everyone here was taken by Lisa Rigby of Lisa Rigby Photography. She is fantastic! I couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out. It was a beautiful day of love, family, friends, and fun. Thank you to everyone that made it so special for us. We really hope everyone had a great time!
