Girls just want to have fun

Growing up, I was always better friends with boys than girls. I had a group of girlfriends, but I swear you'd never met a more competitive, catty, and downright mean group of ladies in your life. Boys were just easier to be friends, with and I had some pretty good ones. As I've gotten older though, I've developed more and more of an appreciation for the sisterhood. I still haven't become a Sex and the City fan, but I do depend on, count on, and rely on my female friends tremendously!

An important part of my nesting experience is balance, so after a full 2 weeks living with a boy, it was definitely time for a weekend away with 2 of the best girls out there. The weekend was full of girl appreciation. I read my new issue of BUST magazine, watched the season finale of The Hills, and spent hours upon hours talking about future and potential careers, weddings, families, and lives with Allie and Hillary.

Thank goodness for girlfriends, in every aspect of life, but especially as I nest into a new living situation. It's been so helpful to have advice from the girls that have made big life changes before, are making big life changes now, or are planning to make big life changes in the future.

  1. aw shucks! i had a super time. i had so much fun i even talked to you gals in my sleep haha.

  2. Erin, I really love your blog -- the layout, the theme, everything! I hope you are enjoying life with Boy and I'm so glad you're capturing all of this! xx, P

PS - remember when I said I didn't feel hipster enough to read Bust and you said that's absolutely not true? Thank you for that! :)

  3. Oh - I'm Pallavi, by the way. :)

  4. Pcat! Thank you for the words of encouragement. Living with Alex is super fun! I hope my blog is part entertaining and part inspirationally crafty. I'm glad that you like it.

Oh and you're welcome about BUST!! You def don't have to be hipster to read BUST Magazine. It does not discriminate, only loves! Check it out, they made me part of their Girl Wide Web. So fun!
